Teleconsultation consent

This page explains the consent subjects the booking system must present and record. Reading it does not itself create an appointment or clinical relationship.

What teleconsultation means

The consultation occurs remotely using an agreed communication method. The practitioner cannot perform the same physical examination, measurements, tests or procedures available in person.

Your agreement

  • You initiate or knowingly agree to the remote consultation.
  • You will provide accurate identity, age, current location and relevant information.
  • You understand that the doctor may stop remote care and recommend in-person or emergency assessment.
  • You understand that technical failure may require rescheduling or another safe communication method.
  • You will not record the consultation without all legally required permission.

Emergencies

This service is not for emergencies. Contact local emergency services or attend an appropriate hospital for urgent symptoms.

Existing care

Tell the doctor about diagnoses, allergies, pregnancy, current medicines and treating clinicians. Do not stop or change prescribed medicine without the prescribing doctor.

Prescription and pharmacy

A prescription is issued only when the doctor considers it appropriate. Sharing a prescription with a pharmacy is a separate choice and requires explicit permission; you retain access to the prescription.

Consent record

The production booking system must store the consent version, patient, appointment, timestamp, channel and withdrawal status. Optional marketing or case-study consent must never be bundled into teleconsultation consent.
